Another day, another tag I randomly found. This one was created by A Darker Shade of Whitney on YouTube, but I found it on This Splendid Shambles blog.
Recently Watched: The Last Book You Finished Reading
The book I last finished was A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. This is a beauty and the beast retelling. While it was a good book, and I plan to write a full review once I’m done with the series, it didn’t add much to the original tale, so I gave it three stars.

Top Picks: A book/books that have been recommended to you based on a book that you previously read.
I can’t remember a friend ever recommending me a book based on something I’ve read so instead I’m going to the website “What Should I Read Next?” I typed in my latest five star read which was Legendborn by Tracey Deonn, and here are the recommendations:
Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie
A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

Recently Added: The Last Book You Bought
I have been a fiend with book buying lately so I am officially now on a book buying ban. But my latest trip to Hay-on-Wye, a wonderful book town in Wales meant I had to buy some books. My last book purchase there was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.

Popular on Netflix: Books everyone knows about (2 you’ve read, 2 you haven’t read)
Hyped books that I LOVE include A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and The Cruel Prince by Holly Black.
Two books I haven’t yet read but are super popular are From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout and the Shadowhunter’s series by Cassandra Clare.

Comedies: A Funny Book
I don’t really read a lot of comedies but I did find the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan to be funny with all of Percy’s sarcastic remarks.

Dramas: A character who is a drama king/queen
Maybe it’s because I’m reading the series right now, but Prince Rhen from the Cursebreakers series by Brigid Kemmerer is pretty dramatic.

Animated: A book with cartoons on the cover
I think they mean a book with the best cover type ever. Anyway, for this, I’m going to choose The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I haven’t read this one yet, but I want to.

Watch it Again: A book or series you want to reread
I don’t typically reread things because my tbr list as it is is endless. But, I’ve kind of been dying to reread my favorite series, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

Documentaries: A non-fiction book you’d recommend to everyone
I don’t typically read nonfiction, but I remember loving and being inspired by Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, where Albom visits his dying professor and receives life’s little lessons.
Action/Adventure: An action packed book
For me, it has to of course be The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. A bunch of teenagers fighting to the death. How much more action do you need?

New Releases: A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you want to read
I’m so excited for Gilded by Marissa Meyer, which will be a Rumpelstiltskin retelling. I wasn’t a big fan of Heartless but I loved The Lunar Chronicles so I have high hopes.
