Again, I wasn’t tagged in this. I’m never tagged in anything haha. But that doesn’t stop me. I also have to admit I’ve only played Animal Crossing a handful of times. But my boyfriend plays so let’s do this.
This tag was created by Angharad and Becky–Two Book Thieves.
Past Villager–Who is a character you found when you were younger that still has a place in your heart?
This has to be the Baudelaire children from Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snickett. That’s the book series that got me into reading when I wasn’t even school age yet. I loved everything about them.
Blather’s Blatherings–Recommend a historical fiction book that you think everyone should read.
For this, I think I’d pick The Book Thief by Markuz Zusak. I love World War 2 stories and this one is extra fascinating because the narrator is Death personified.
Celeste’s Wish–What is a future book release you wish you could read now?
Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn. I’m so excited for this sequel to Legendborn. And if you love fantasy retellings, please go read Legendborn now.
Timmy and Tommy–What is your favorite sibling relationship in a book?
I like the dynamics between siblings in multiple books but the first one that comes to mind right now is Ramona and Beezus from the Ramona books by Beverly Clearly. I wouldn’t call their squabbling heartwarming, but it’s way more realistic then some of these books were the siblings don’t fight at all.
The Easter Bunny–A popular book character that you’re not a big fan of.
I might get some flack for this, but Kaz Brekker. Don’t get me wrong–I love Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. And I do like Kaz, but I’m not a simp for him the way most people are. In fact, I think he can be toxic. I love Jesper and Wylan way more.
Nook’s Loans–An author you’d give all your money to.
John Green (and Hank Green). Literally, I read everyone of their books and used to keep up with the Vlogsbrothers channel. John is my authobuy author, and I don’t think that will ever change even though I’m now 8 years older than his characters.
The Sisters Able–What is your favorire fictional family (found or otherwise)?
Well, my favorite found family is the Rampion Crew from the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I love them all!
It’s a C+–What is a book trope that you don’t like that keeps popping up?
I didn’t so much as a teenager but I hate the “not like other girls” trope that gives huge pick-me vibes. When the main character judges other girls for being “girly” and therefore weak somehow. I’d much rather see girls encouraging girls!
The Wedding Camel–What is your favorite book set in a land far away from yours?
So fantasy counts, right? Because than it’s the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas, specifically the setting of Velaris. All of Prythian sounds beautiful, though.
What would Dodos Do?–A fictional land you wish you could fly away to at any moment?
Dang, I already chose Velaris. If not that, then Elfhame. I mean, I’d probably die, but I’d die having seen a magical land and that’s all I could ask for.
