I did some for friends and romance, why not include the best families in the literary world? Some books and fictional worlds can model what good family relationships can look like.
Best Mom: Who is caring, supportive, kind, and tries to take care of everyone?
Molly Weasley! Yes, she has her own drawbacks–like the way she treated Fred and George, for instance and her insolence towards Fleur. But, she even took on a mothering role for her sons’ friends, like Harry, and she killed the woman who tried to hurt her daughter. That’s pretty BA.

Best Dad: Who is supportive of his family and in touch with his emotions? Someone who doesn’t feel emasculated by quality bonding and is a role model showing what a “real man” can be?
Atticus Finch! He truly cares for his kids, but more than that, he fights for what is right in a messed-up world. He doesn’t follow the society norms of racism and judgement but encourages his kids to accept people as people instead of someone who is reckless because of the color of their skin or scary because they stay in their house. The whole book really is about not judging someone based on what you think you know and Atticus is typically demonstrating that moral, even encouraging Scout to read to the grumpy old lady.

Iconic Siblings: Who bickers all the time but in the end has each other backs? Who picks on each other but wouldn’t let any one else pick on their sibling?
The Pevensies! Though none of them believed Lucy about the world in the closet, they humored her into going there. Though Edmund betrayed his siblings, they forgave him. Though Peter and Susan seem to argue a lot, they eventually come together to make decisions on what is best for the family.

Best Grandparent: Who spoils their grandkids? Who shares words of wisdom from their experience? Who forgets their pain and woes for their family?
Grandpa Joe! He can suddenly walk when Charlie needs an adult to go to the chocolate factory. He is not afraid to get into some mischief with Charlie, either, but at the end of the day, he fights on Charlie’s behalf to Mr. Wonka.

Best and Weirdest Uncle/Aunt: Finally, a family wouldn’t be complete without the textbook weird uncle, aunt, or cousin. Someone who the family doesn’t see often but is always bound to leave a lasting impression.
Aunt Beatrice! She is so iconic that Beezus was even named after her! Aunt Beatrice shows Ramona and Beezus that though she feuded with her mother, they can still grow to have a loving relationship as sisters do. Still, she does regale them with her wicked little sister stories.
